About Us…
We moved to Tenterden from Dulwich, London in January 2013 after Jo fell in love with the house & garden. Jo’s Mum, Pat and the very chilled out Border Terrier; Snoopy live in Brunger Cottage, just a few meters away from the main house. Jo & Simon also have a lodger called Steve who is often on hand to assist guests too. Jo & Simon are a fun, relaxed and down to earth couple who have a diverse group of friends, and whom love to meet new people. Simon is now retired after working for over 30 years in the NHS and Private Sectors as a Consultant Anaesthetist. He spent the majority of his working life at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, with the last 2 years working for East Kent University Hospital Foundation Trust. His specialist interest was Liver Transplant & Hepatobiliary Anaesthesia. He also acted as Clinical Director for Anaesthesia & Critical Care and Medical Director for King’s South Sites. Jo worked at King’s as a NHS Senior Manager for many years but gave this up when we moved to Tenterden. Jo also has experience of wedding & event management. She is super organised, has a keen eye for detail and works well with people to achieve their dreams. Jo also manages the holiday let business and will be at hand to ensure your stay is a pleasant as possible. Simon enjoys cycling, gardening, reading, skiing & DIY. Jo has a passion for cooking, loves animals, entertaining & skiing. Pat is a retired doctor’s receptionist. She enjoys gardening, reading, baking, dog walking and the occasional game of tennis! We adopted Marmite, our pet Indian Runner Duck from our friends Victoria & Scott. Victoria hand reared him from only being a few hours old. Marmite has 3 duck friends called Donald, Snowflake & Snowman. We hope our guests fall in love with Brunger as much as we have! We very much look forward to welcoming you.
